Thank you for joining Northbrook’s Fourth of July Tournament – Illinois' largest and longest-running community tournament. We are excited that you have chosen to spend the Fourth in Northbrook enjoying our nation’s pastime.
Our tournament is a “Community Tournament” and is 100% not-for-profit. Every dollar earned from tournament fees and sponsorships is placed back into the community in the form of summer jobs for Northbrook youth and helping to support baseball for those who can’t afford to play the sport.
All of tournament workers donate their time and energy to make this event a success. Many of the tournament of the umpires are boys and girls who got their start in our organization. They come back from umpiring games all over Illinois and even the country to spend the Fourth of July with their friends and family and umpire tournament games. This makes this weekend a special time where friends come back and enjoy the best sport in the world – played in their hometown.
We are so very proud of this tournament. We hope you enjoy its hometown feel, patronize our sponsors and take the time to explore our community. The Village Green Field, where our 13 and 14 year-olds play their championship, and the home of our tournament headquarters, is well-known throughout Illinois and has been named as one of the “top 100 youth baseball fields in the country.” The Northbrook Park District has created and maintains a beautiful baseball field that everyone enjoys.
Our goal is that you will return to our Community Tournament in the coming years.
